After a past flirtation with heart palpitations and passing out altogether, it seems Ebooks are gaining in popularity once again. Why?
* The greening of America. Digital products save trees. We all want to save trees. We hug our trees. The old ebook business model was not kind to trees.
* Amazon Kindle and iPhone Stanza. Ebook readers or rather digital readers are making it very convenient to read digital information anywhere and everywhere. Digital readers will only get better, and better, and better…especially with democrats now in power. (just kidding red states).
* Short memories are a good thing. It was only 7-8 years ago that some of the bigger names in publishing folded their tents and went on to greener pastures. That includes Time Warner and iPublish and Random house. They coulda been contenders…..
The first line digital product readers, pre-cursors to the amazing Kindle and Stanza, were dismal compared to today’s standards. However, the new readers mentioned and those that will follow are making it extremely easy to read digital information. If it’s easy for consumers, it’s easy to sell to consumers. That dear readers is a very good thing.
